DemoInk

A personal tool for drawing live on your screen during a demo or call — shapes, colors, whiteboard mode, auto-screenshot. v1.0.0 available for Windows.

  • C++
  • Windows
  • Open source

DemoInk answers a very concrete need I have as a Solution Engineer: drawing live on your screen, mid-presentation, without ever breaking the flow of an explanation. A hotkey brings up a drawing layer over whatever is on screen — freehand strokes, arrows, rectangles, circles, text, colors you can swap on the fly — then you exit, and the capture is saved automatically.

The idea is to stay straight to the point, no detours. Transparent background to annotate the live screen, solid or “board” background to start from a blank slate classroom-style, fully rebindable shortcuts.

This v1.0.0 covers Windows. A macOS build is in progress.
